Seasonal Camp Attendant Position

Ignace Outposts is seeking a motivated individual for a camp attendant position for the 2026 season. This position will be fly in at one of our remote outposts. Accommodations are provided; you will have your own cabin set off from the main camp.

Duties will include:

-assist pilots with docking, loading and unloading aircraft

-assist guests with any issues they may have

-general maintenance around camp (painting, light carpentry, dock repairs)

-make sure boats are clean and working properly for guests

-monitor fuel and propane levels

-keep grounds clean and trimmed

-ensure adequate amount of firewood at each cabin

-daily communication with base

Requirements:

-excellent communication skills

-able to work alone and in a remote location

-some mechanical knowledge (minor outboard motor repairs and servicing)

-some carpentry knowledge (repairs and upgrades to cabins and infrastructure)

-experience operating a boat (Pleasure Craft Operators Card)

-experience operating chainsaw and grass trimmers

The position will start mid May and run through the fishing season until mid to late September.
