Janitorial Cleaning Services

Mary Berglund Community Health Centre (MBCHC) is accepting proposals for cleaning services at the Mary Berglund Community Health Centre and two Locum Houses. 20 hours per week, $23.00 per hour.

This is one combined position that plays an important role in keeping the Health Centre clean, welcoming, and safe for patients, staff, and visitors. The position also helps ensure the two Locum Houses are clean, comfortable, and ready for visiting healthcare professionals. MBCHC will provide all required cleaning products and equipment. Work will take place outside of health centre hours and on weekends, based on operational needs and occupancy.

1. MARY BERGLUND COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE HUB

• Clean and sanitize exam rooms, waiting areas, offices, washrooms, reception areas, common areas, floors, garbage areas, and restock consumables after clinic hours on weekdays.

• Follow proper cleaning, sanitization, disinfection, and infection control procedures.

• Report damage, maintenance concerns, supply shortages, or other issues to the appropriate Health Centre staff.

2. LOCUM HOUSE CLEANING

Provide basic cleaning services for two Locum Houses, including housekeeping, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, laundry, linen changes, garbage removal, and reporting maintenance concerns.

3. REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate must:

• Have experience in commercial, residential, or professional cleaning.

• Experience cleaning healthcare or clinical environments is considered an asset.

• Understand and follow proper cleaning, sanitization, and disinfection procedures.

• Be reliable, dependable, and have access to transportation.

• Be available to work after clinic hours on weekdays and on weekends.

• Show strong attention to detail.

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding patients, occupants, and any confidential information encountered while working.

• Provide a Criminal Record Check upon request.
